This book commemorates the donation of a large part of the art collection formed by Dr Thomas Frangenberg (1957-2018) to Wolfson College, Cambridge. Beautifully illustrated, and with a wide-ranging essay (both scholarly and very personal) by Frangenberg’s erstwhile colleague at Leicester, Phillip Lindley, now Excellence 100 Professor of Art History at Loughborough University. The collection consists of conceptual art made in London from the mid-1970s to 2017. Turner-Prize winners and nominees as well as other internationally celebrated artists are represented.
A special privately printed edition, limited to 50 copies, with signed works by nine of the artists [Angela de la Cruz, Alicja Dobrucka, Tim Head, Nicky Hirst, Hannah Lister, Keith Milow, Simon Patterson, Stuart Taylor, Amikam Toren] represented in the collection will also be published.
